Staff Picks May 24, 2020
We asked our staff to curate a set of songs that we could listen to this week.
Kyle Henderson recommends:
I did not know this song until I found it getting ready for Senior Sunday. I really love it. We played it in the service -our team sang the vocals over this video. This is the Bright City version.
Connie Thornton recommends:
Watching our church support and love one another through this crisis fills my spirit. This song reflects the spirit of our church body and I am so grateful.
Gwen Richardson recommends:
The simple moments of serving, letting God use you where you are, are so important. This song reminds me of all the people in our church that have reached out to others during this time to help them just keep on going! The simple moments add up!
Sheri Basore recommends:
This song is a joyful celebration of my faith. It´s a testimony of what Christ has done. I´ve been listening to it when I go for walks and it inspires me and reminds me of the hope that I have.
Cindy Henderson recommends:
I love the SEEDS family worship songs! We used this on e on last year´s mission trip to S. Dakota. They are scripture passages and full of encouragement. ¨…He turned to me and heard my cry…He set my feet on a rock, gave me a firm place to stand…¨ from Psalm 40 (one of our readings on Sunday).
Juan Moreno recommends:
I praise the Lord Jesus that we’re a part of His kingdom. Somos parte de Su reino. Que El sea alabado.
Erin Quattlebaum recommends:
There was a very dark time in my life that I thought I had done so much wrong that God could never love me again. When I moved back to Athens and began consistently going to church and listening to God’s word through Kyle, that I realized that His love never goes away. He always stays with me, even when I push Him away. Thank God for His never ending, unconditional love!!
