Staff Picks March 29, 2020

We asked our staff to curate a set of songs that we could listen to this week.

Jorge Rivera recommends:

A great reminder for us all. God does not give himself in pieces. While we may be put back by doubt, restrained to believe due to our circumstances, god gave himself fully. Scripture says “while we were still sinners Christ died for us” he gave himself, his whole life to show us love, unreserved, unrestrained, unashamed love.

Wade Huggins recommends:

A family sent this to me this week. I loved it and listened to it. Here is the note that was attached.
LN: Momma I would really like a guitar for my birthday.. I want to be like the guy with a beard and guitar at our church... what’s him name? Hmmm? Let me think... Pastor wade! I want to be like him when I grow up. When he dies I want to do what he does at our church and the first song I sing will be The God who stays.”

Kyle Henderson recommends:

“I sang a bit of it in the service. You should see the real guy. Watch his face as he talks about dwelling in God’s word all day long.”

Jim Palmer recommends:

When we are afraid we need a healing rain falling down to renew and refresh us.

Jaime Cortez recommends:

Because God’s promise still stand, great is his faithfulness.

Connie Thornton recommends:

The strings remind me of a time in the Colorado Mountains that I felt especially at peace.

Steve Gowan recommends:

The line “I don’t want to abuse Your grace but God I need it everyday!”, is a line I should be singing every single day.

Cindy Henderson recommends:

Seeds Family Worship was so gracious to allow us to share videos during this time.

Wed Night Kids learned this song when we made cards for the Murrell family heading into Nicaragua for full time missions. I got to talk to them last week and they said “Thank You” again for our gifts. We also sang it on our mission trip at Chanku Waste Ranch. And, it was in our PS92 reading this week!

Jenny Donohoo recommends:

Erin Quattlebaum recommends:

Even in our most uncertain and doubtful moments, God is still with us and He doesn't let go.

Gwen Richardson recommends:

This is “social distancing” at its’ best! When it seems that the world is falling apart, a group “comes together” to remind us that in all circumstances God is still there and in control. Therefore, It Is Well!

Sheri Basore recommends:

This song inspires me and reminds me of God's greatness and how much he loves me. I know that I can trust Him in every situation I face, and be confident that He has already paid the price for my salvation.
