Staff Picks April 26, 2020
We asked our staff to curate a set of songs that we could listen to this week.
Connie Thornton recommends:
I will never forget witnessing a river baptism as a child. It was truly a sacred event and a purely peaceful atmosphere. Everyone gathered at the rivers edge as those with white robes moved into the water. The large crowd was unusually silent.Even as a child I knew something of the greatest magnitude was about to take place. Afterwards, the crowds were jubilant and we feasted on baskets filled with food and lay on blankets spread on the ground. I left the rivers edge full of hope and anticipation of the day I too would receive the call to belong to God.
Gwen Richardson recommends:
This song always takes me back to memorable times in my life when I realized that God’s Grace is truly amazing! I don’t deserve it, but he freely gives it!
Kyle Henderson recommends:

This song is encouraging me during this time. It is good to be reminded of God's faithfulness. He is here. We can trust that he is faithful.
Wade Huggins recommends:
I lay my burdens at your feet. I’m letting go of all the things I can’t control.
In these times I’m finding there is much we can’t control. But He is our peace. I pray that these words will bring strength to those who are weary.
Cindy Henderson recommends:
Our First Grade and younger stream groups are learning about this verse in their BFG lessons this week.

With so many fears in the world and so many different people wanting to put their opinions, we must remember who is the only one that can save us... ain't no man can save me, Only God can!
Jim Palmer recommends:
Julio Melgar is one of the up and coming Hispanic artists. His song "Estas Aqui" gives us comfort knowing Jesus is always with us showing us God's glory. "Estás aquí Puedo escuchar tu dulce voz Y nada apagará este amor que siento aquí Por ti Jesús, por ti Jesús"
Juan Moreno recommends:
I like to remember all He’s done for me and tell Him, “You’re my King!”
