June 7-14, 2014 – Ethiopia Early Bird Deworming Project
The Early Bird Project is the newest of our ministries in the Ethiopia. The children of the Bantu, Tolee region of Ethiopia suffer the affects of intestinal parasites. These living organisms cause malnutrition, exhaustion , decreased physical development, decreased mental development, lower literacy and lower earning as adults. Children with parasitic worms are more vulnerable to illness and can miss up to 35% of school days. Something must be done immediately! One pill twice a year will eradicate intestinal worms at a cost of less that 50 cents a child. A team of women from FBCA and other churches in our area will administer life changing medicine to 8,000 children in just four days. If you would like to contribute to the cost of medicine or become part of a future team, contact Steve Akin at 903-675-5135. We need your help. For more information click on the headline above or pick up a brochure in the Global Cafe or contact Steve Akin at 903-675-5135.

September 13-20, 2014 – South Dakota Pine Ridge Sioux Indian Reservation Construction & Evangelism Project
It is said that next to Haiti, the Sioux Indian Reservation in South Dakota is the poorest in group of people in our part of the world. Like Haiti, there is rampant corruption and abuse of government and private resources. Alcoholism and drug abuse are terrible problems that effect the young men and women on the Reservation. Mystic and cult religions have intertwined with Christianity to create an confused and misleading message of salvation. Teen suicide is 150% greater than in the rest of the country! It is a place where hope is scarce and despair is the normal way of life. God has opened doors and given us connections through which we can begin to have a ministry and Gospel witness among the native people we call the Sioux. In the near future we will have several different ways to minister and we need your help. If you would like to learn more about the growing work among the Sioux Indians, please contact Steve Akin at 903-675-5135 #113

March 14-23, 2014 – Medical Misson to the Tolee Region, Ethiopia
If the town of Bantu were the county seat, then the Tolee region would be the county. Since 2007 FBCA has taken our medical professionals and other non-medical logistical volunteers to offer medical, dental and optical clinics in this remote, mountainous region. Sometimes we work at altitudes of 8-10 thousand feet. It is our goal to establish a new evangelical church at each village where we serve. Our Ethiopian partners provide evangelists and pastors to work closely with each person who comes to the medical clinic. God has blessed and new believers are baptized each year. Through the work of FBCA and our United States team partners, five new churches have been established. We need your help. For more information pick up a brochure in the Global Cafe or contact Steve Akin at 903-675-5135.
